    • A Surgical First Assistant (SFA) qualification is desirable but not essential. Candidates who do not currently hold this qualification may have the opportunity to undertake SFA training in partnership with De Montfort University. As a Scrub Nurse or Theatre Practitioner (ODP), you will:
  • Work with some of the best in the field
  • Enjoy a varied caseload
  • Put your communication skills to work
  • Use state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities
  • Supervise, support and develop junior members of the team
  • Shape patient experiences that are always clinically effective, evidence based and appropriate

    As an experienced Scrub Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner (ODP) at York Hospital, you will be registered with the appropriate professional governing body (NMC or HCPC) and possess the relevant qualifications, skills, and post-registration experience. You are passionate about delivering high standards of patient care, have exceptional attention to detail, and consistently demonstrate professionalism within the operating theatre environment. You are a motivated, flexible, and reliable team player who thrives in a fast-paced surgical setting and is committed to supporting excellent patient outcomes.
