Are you a self-motivated, enthusiastic and dynamic anesthetic practitioner who is looking to further develop and progress in their career?

We have an exciting Band 6 anesthetic role available in our radiotherapy team covering our children attending the Queen Elizabeth hospital for treatment and other specialties at Birmingham children's hospital. As the anesthetic team leader you will work alongside the Resource Lead to ensure the consumables, safety and audits and support trials within the department. We provide care for patients from neonates, infants, and children through to adolescents. Whilst we primarily treat children across the west midlands, as well as the United Kingdom and internationally

The successful applicant will need to be an effective team player and communicator, to be able to efficiently manage this diverse team. They will be the key link of communication between the Consultant Surgeons and the theatre team; and will need to be forward thinking to overcome any problems they may face daily.

All applicants must demonstrate a strong desire to teach and develop and progress their career further within the department. They will be required to work all shift patterns including long days, weekends, lates and on calls., As a Leading tertiary center the hospital performs a wide range of acute and specialised paediatric surgery, and has a busy Emergency Department managing 60,000 attendances/year and a 31 bed Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. The hospital is a regional designated Trauma Centre and is proposing further service expansions.
