Full Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our Digital Team. This role is part of a Team who are responsible for undertaking application testing for digital applications and projects., Act as a point of contact for staff from all parts of the organisation that need testing assistance or advice.
Work closely with change managers, operational managers and end-users to understand the workflow and expected functionality being developed.
Write comprehensive test scripts to fully verify the development system against product specifications and user expectations.
Interpret the often complex testing output to identify defects and functional omissions.
Document defects so that the issue can be reliably replicated.
Report defects to suppliers/developers so that the issue is understood and the expected solution is clear.
Ensure issues, especially those impacting patient safety, are escalated within the organisation.
Track supplier progress towards issue resolution for their individual tickets.
Trouble-shoot and undertake root cause analysis for user reported incidents/defects.
Develop, update, upgrade and introduce new testing scripts and scenarios as systems and use evolves.
Participate in audits and quality assurance processes.
Maintain a high level of awareness and specialist knowledge and expertise in IT systems testing.
Complete Ad-hoc testing based on issues and changes logged by end users at the trust.
Follow the Trust and ICT Policies, procedures and processes.
We are looking for individuals with good communication skills and a keen eye for detail. The post holder will be required to work independently and within a team. Knowledge of the systems already in use at the Trust such as Cerner (iCLIP Pro) is essential.
