Full Job Description
The Test Engineer is responsible for the safe and effective testing, validation and analysis of high-pressure compressor products. The role ensures compressors meet performance, quality, safety and compliance requirements in line with Ingersoll Rand standards, customer specifications and applicable industry regulations.,
- Conduct functional, performance, endurance and safety testing of high-pressure compressor products.
- Develop and execute test plans, procedures and validation protocols.
- Safely operate test equipment, instrumentation and data acquisition systems.
- Monitor compressor performance and record accurate test results.
- Analyse test data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare technical reports and communicate findings to engineering and operational teams.
- Ensure all testing activities comply with Ingersoll Rand safety, quality and engineering standards.
- Verify compliance with relevant regulations, customer specifications and product requirements.
- Support product development, design verification and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain calibration and readiness of test equipment and facilities.
- Fault find test failures, and working with the production & engineering teams, irradicate repeat concerns & failure modes., 25 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays (Option to purchase 5 days after probation period)

Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (desirable). - Experience testing mechanical equipment, compressors or rotating machinery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of pressure systems, test methods and safety requirements.
- Experience using data acquisition, instrumentation and reporting tools.
- Ability to write clear technical reports and present findings effectively.
