Full Job Description
What does this Tenant Support Worker job involve? As a Support Worker, you will be the dedicated point of contact for a group of tenants, helping them maintain independence and stability in their daily lives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building strong, supportive relationships with your assigned tenants
- Making one weekly phone call per tenant to complete a structured wellbeing checklist
- Reporting updates and concerns to the relevant local authority
- Providing practical and emotional support tailored to each tenant's needs
- Researching local geographical areas to help tenants access community resources
- Acting as a consistent, reliable point of contact to promote tenant wellbeing
- Supporting the development of the service as it grows, contributing ideas and best practice
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar support worker role - Strong understanding of supporting vulnerable individuals
- Ability to build trust and maintain professional boundaries
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A calm, empathetic and patient approach
- Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
- Confidence in liaising with external agencies and local authorities Desirable:
- Mental health training or experience
- Knowledge of local community resources and support networks
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs
