Full Job Description

What does this Tenant Support Worker job involve? As a Support Worker, you will be the dedicated point of contact for a group of tenants, helping them maintain independence and stability in their daily lives. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Building strong, supportive relationships with your assigned tenants
  • Making one weekly phone call per tenant to complete a structured wellbeing checklist
  • Reporting updates and concerns to the relevant local authority
  • Providing practical and emotional support tailored to each tenant's needs
  • Researching local geographical areas to help tenants access community resources
  • Acting as a consistent, reliable point of contact to promote tenant wellbeing
  • Supporting the development of the service as it grows, contributing ideas and best practice

    Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar support worker role
  • Strong understanding of supporting vulnerable individuals
  • Ability to build trust and maintain professional boundaries
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A calm, empathetic and patient approach
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
  • Confidence in liaising with external agencies and local authorities
  • Desirable:
  • Mental health training or experience
  • Knowledge of local community resources and support networks
  • Experience supporting individuals with complex needs
