If you're passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals and helping them achieve long-term housing stability, we want to hear from you As a Tenancy Sustainment Officer, you will work closely with the Housing Options Team to prevent homelessness, support vulnerable residents and help households move on from temporary accommodation. You will provide targeted, strength-based and person-led support to households with complex needs, helping them access essential services, sustain accommodation, improve wellbeing and avoid repeat rough sleeping. You will also deliver reactive support to residents at risk in the private rented sector, working with landlords to resolve issues early and prevent eviction. You will provide tenancy sustainment support to residents in private rented or temporary accommodation to set up and settle into their homes, manage their tenancies independently, complete periodic tenancy checks and overcome barriers to long-term housing stability., Test Valley is a great place to work, it is a place for everyone, we support our communities, and our staff, to thrive. We pride ourselves on our open and friendly culture and offer a professional positive and stable working environment. Our organisations values are reflected in the way we work with our communities, partners and staff. We are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer who positively encourages applications from disabled people. If, as a disabled person, you meet the minimum criteria for a job then you will be guaranteed an interview, and we will ensure any reasonable adjustments are made to the interview process so that you can be fairly assessed for the vacancy.
