Tenancy Support Officer

Rugby Borough Council is looking for a compassionate, motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Housing Services team as a Tenancy Support Officer. This rewarding role focuses on helping Council tenants to sustain their tenancies and live independently. Working closely with colleagues and partner organisations, you will provide practical support, guidance and encouragement to help tenants achieve positive outcomes and maintain stable homes. You will work directly with tenants, developing tailored support plans and helping them access the services they need to improve their wellbeing and independence. Key responsibilities include:

• Providing tenancy support to customers referred to the service.
• Developing and reviewing individual support plans with tenants.
• Supporting customers with budgeting, money management and income maximisation.
• Helping tenants access welfare benefits, grants and other sources of support.
• Working closely with Housing Officers, Revenues colleagues and partner agencies to deliver a coordinated service.
• Maintaining knowledge of local support services and making appropriate referrals.
• Supporting the administration and delivery of tenancy support services.
• Assisting with the achievement of team objectives and performance targets.
