Tenancy Support Officer

We are seeking an experienced, value-driven Senior Tenancy Support Officer to lead a small dynamic team responding to the City of London's tenants who require support to maintain their tenancies and remain in their homes. The Tenancy Support Team supports residents across all of our estates both within and outside of the square mile and works closely with the City of London's Care Leavers. About the Role You will be part of our Homelessness Prevention and Rough Sleeping Service, managing and allocation referrals for support needs, managing the day to day work of the team whilst maintaining a strong focus on quality, outcomes and strength-based practice while working at pace. Working alongside colleagues in Rough Sleeping, Homelessness Health and our Pathways Team as well as a wider multidisciplinary service including Social Workers, and Strengths-Based Practitioners, you will work closely with commissioned providers and internal partners to ensure coordinated, safe and effective support for those supported by the City.,

• Assessing referrals, allocating case work to officers and supporting the development of individualised support plans which are time limited to promote independent living and tenancy sustainment.
• Making arrangements for homeless people, and those threatened with homelessness, including the use of temporary accommodation where appropriate
• Working collaboratively with commissioning and health partners
• Championing anti-racist, anti-oppressive and inclusive practice
You will report to the Pathways Coordinator and play an active role in developing services and the City of London Corporation's response to Homelessness and Rough Sleeping.

You will be an experienced Tenancy Support or Housing Officer with knowledge of the Housing Act, the Homelessness Reduction Act, and Universal Credit, as well as experience of supporting vulnerable services users in the community. You will demonstrate:
• Sound knowledge of Homelessness and Housing legislation, statutory duties and the ability to deliver information, advice and guidance.
