Full Job Description
A brand new opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Tenancy Ready Officer to join our service to create and implement a tenancy ready programme to help identify individuals to become tenancy ready. Winchester City Council are committed to supporting individuals and families in securing housing and this role will assist to empower people to secure tenancies through tailored support and practical guidance.
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team and help individuals become tenancy-ready through a tenancy ready programme, ensuring they can sustain a successful and long-term and secure home.
You will play a vital role, providing practical support to customers following a framework, guiding them through the process of becoming tenancy-ready, and ensuring they understand their rights and responsibilities as tenants. You will work closely with other support services, landlords, and agencies to deliver a service that empowers individuals to take the next steps in securing a tenancy.
You will need to be a strong communicator, organised, motivated and ideally have experience of working in the housing sector or providing support.
You will need a full driving licence and access to your own transport to cover the travel requirements of the post, which will include travelling across the District to reach those in need of support.
