Full Job Description

As the TYA CNS, you will play a central role in supporting young people diagnosed with cancer across Cornwall and the wider region. You will:

Work autonomously, using advanced clinical judgement to identify and respond to the unique needs of TYA patients and their networkers

Collaborate closely with the TYA Lead Clinician, consultants, site-specific teams, Paediatric Oncology Outreach Nurses and colleagues at the Bristol PTC

Build strong relationships with the five other designated TYA hospitals across the South West network

Contribute to the delivery and development of high-quality, age-appropriate cancer services.

Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust is a designated TYA cancer hospital within the South West network, working in partnership with the Principal Treatment Centre at University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. Our service provides specialist malignant haematology and oncology care, alongside emotional, social and practical support. This post includes 7.5 hours of LARF funding for 2 years.
