Full Job Description

A Mobile Building Engineer provides on-site technical support, maintenance, and engineering services across multiple building locations within a designated geographic area. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with travel requirements to ensure optimal building operations and tenant satisfaction., Building Systems Management

  • Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems across assigned properties
  • Conduct routine inspections of building equipment including boilers, chillers, generators, elevators, and fire safety systems
  • Monitor and optimize building performance to ensure energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Emergency Response and Repairs
  • Respond to urgent maintenance requests and emergency calls across multiple sites
  • Diagnose equipment failures and implement immediate solutions to minimize downtime
  • Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs
  • Maintain emergency contact protocols and after-hours response capabilities
  • Compliance and Safety
  • Ensure all building systems comply with local codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Conduct safety inspections and maintain required documentation
  • Manage environmental compliance including waste management and hazardous materials handling
  • Maintain current certifications and licenses as required by jurisdiction
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Complete detailed work orders, maintenance logs, and inspection reports
  • Track equipment performance data and recommend capital improvements
  • Maintain accurate inventory of tools, parts, and supplies across locations
  • Provide regular status updates to property management teams

    3-5 years of building maintenance or facilities management experience
  • Experience with commercial building systems and equipment
  • Knowledge of building automation systems and energy management
  • Previous mobile or multi-site experience preferred
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems BMS
