Full Job Description
The senior technician is an expert for the technology within the working area. The role is responsble to contribute to maintenance KPIs and accountable for the Budget. It assures safety & legal compliance on maintenance works and drives "Run to standard" culture and assures the teams towork to it (Safety, Quality, CL, CILs, SAP-PM/MM…). The senior technician contributes to the implementation of the Maintenance Roadmap based onthe Site Strategy. It drives behaviour to go back to basic standard condition and defining basic standard condition.,
- Is a Role Model for Safety.
- Point of expertise in developing the Maintenance Journey in their working area.
- Vision of Zero Stops & Zero Breakdowns philosophy, minimizes unplanned stops using the right maintenance strategies.
- Owns the process of breakdown elimination (OPA / OPL work), the Maintenance KPIs (e.g. maintenance budget, defect trend, BD's / ton/pieces, unplanned/planned Maintenance DT etc.) and accountable for the maintenance budget in their working area.
- Analysis & develops necessary maintenance skills in the team.
- Has meetings to plan all maintenance related activities.
- Coaches organization in all behaviours and tools in terms of maintenance & is an expert in the technology.
- Develops a Skill and Capability Journey for the maintenance team to fulfil the full expert maintenance scope (e.g. Planning and Scheduling), including the development of the Operator maintenance part & is a trainer for their working area.
- Owns the maintenance management information system (incl. Technical Database, SAP, CIL system etc.) for their working area & uses the Best-Practices in an efficient way + suggesting new BP.
- Owns & develops the quality standards (e.g. SOPs) for maintenance.
- Contributes to and implements the 5 year development plan on assets: maintenance investments, sustainability plan, spare-part working capital reduction etc.
