Full Job Description

You will implement and maintain appropriate safety arrangements for staff under your guidance; always checking staff have got the required safety knowledge and competences to carry out the duties given to them. You'll accurately report all works that have been completed/not completed, as well as producing and maintaining records relating to your role as required. Your experience will enable you to carry out checks on vehicles, equipment, and materials, checking they are fit for use, stored correctly and disposed of in accordance with company procedures.

The successful candidate must be able and willing to drive. You will take part in the on-call roster and work unsociable hours if required., In order to be successful in this role, we would like you to be/ to have:
· Experience of arranging and implementing safe systems of work.
· Experience of organising and controlling the safe and efficient delivery of work.
· Able to demonstrate, promote and embed safe working behaviours within the team.
· Able to lead, motivate and direct a team.
· Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
· Knowledge and experience of Communications inspection, faulting, maintenance and renewal techniques.
· Knowledge of relevant standards, procedures and instructions.
· Hold and retain competencies relevant to this post, required by business need.
· Ideally hold (or be working towards) an NVQ level 1 or 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant subject or have attained the appropriate level of knowledge through equivalent relevant experience.
