Full Job Description
We're looking for an experienced education professional to lead our Technical and Vocational Professional Development Hub. The post holder will be working with leaders, practitioners and partners across the region to support the implementation of technical and vocational qualification reforms. This is a unique opportunity to influence improvement beyond a single organisation and strengthen provider capability and confidence leading to sustained approaches. You'll work with colleges, schools, employers and sector partners to:
- Lead professional development, coaching, mentoring and practitioner networks.
- Support curriculum innovation and the implementation of technical and vocational reform.
- Help providers strengthen curriculum design, evaluation and improvement.
- Develop learning leads and practitioner champions who can create lasting change.
- Design and deliver workshops, masterclasses and other professional learning.
- Use evidence and insight to identify priorities, measure impact and share effective practice.
You'll be an experienced education professional with a strong track record of quality improvement, teaching and learning, and curriculum development, ideally within Further Education or technical education. You'll bring: - A teaching qualification at Level 5 or above, alongside a degree or appropriate professional qualification.
- Experience of leading or supporting improvement in teaching, learning and assessment.
- Strong knowledge of technical and vocational curriculum and qualification reform.
- Experience of coaching, mentoring or developing practitioners and leaders.
- Confidence using data and evidence to identify improvement priorities and evaluate impact.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and challenge constructively.
- Experience of working with employers, external partners or educational networks.
- Excellent organisation and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
