This is a delivery-focused role where you will lead the coordination and execution of standardised, repeatable solutions for major infrastructure programmes, supporting one of the UK's largest capital investment initiatives. You'll play a key role in shaping how we plan, manage, and deliver projects smarter, faster, and more efficiently, ensuring solutions are well-defined, buildable, cost-effective, and aligned across multidisciplinary teams. You will be responsible for delivering projects to programme, within budget, and to the required quality standards, while driving collaboration between engineering, design, and delivery teams. Be part of developing the future delivery function! WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING You'll be ensuring that appropriate project management input is provided to the project team, enabling effective coordination between the Severn Trent Product Team and Site Design Teams to support successful delivery and installation of standard solutions on site. Project Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead the planning and delivery of projects, with a strong focus on:
  • Programme management and scheduling
  • Budget control and cost management
  • Coordination of multidisciplinary engineering and delivery teams
  • Manage projects from concept through to delivery and handover Ensure clear governance, reporting, and decision-making throughout the project lifecycle Drive consistency in delivery across multiple projects and workstreams Technical Oversight
  • Support teams to deliver solutions that are practical, buildable, and aligned with project requirements
  • Review and challenge inputs from designers, consultants, and contractors
  • Coordinate teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements
  • Facilitate resolution of technical issues through collaboration with engineering teams
  • Innovation & Standardisation
  • Support the implementation and rollout of repeatable / standard product solutions
  • Drive efficiency through improved processes, lessons learned, and continuous improvement
  • Promote standardisation to enhance delivery speed, cost efficiency, and quality outcomes
  • Contribute to development of delivery frameworks, processes, and best practices
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
  • Work closely with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and external stakeholders
  • Act as the key interface between product, design, and delivery teams
  • Ensure alignment across all parties to achieve project objectives
  • Support effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle
  • Risk & Quality Management
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project and delivery risks
  • Ensure projects meet requirements for health & safety (CDM), programme, cost, constructability, delivery, and whole-life quality performance
  • Drive a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement

    We are looking for a Technical Project Manager with strong experience in delivering complex infrastructure and engineering projects to join our innovative Plug & Play team., Skills and experience matter, but character and attitude are just as important. We value proactive, positive people who genuinely care, take initiative, and go beyond expectations through their actions, not just their words., Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • Significant experience delivering complex infrastructure or engineering projects, particularly:
  • + Multidisciplinary project coordination + Capital project delivery across design and construction phases + Delivery of modular or standardised solutions (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong working knowledge of:
  • + Project delivery methodologies (e.g. waterfall, stage-gate, or agile where applicable) + Commercial and cost management principles + Programme planning and scheduling tools
  • Experience managing consultants, contractors, and external stakeholders
  • Proven ability to drive projects forward, resolve issues, and deliver practical outcomes
  • Level Ideally operating at Senior Project Manager level, but strong Project Managers / Advanced professionals will be considered Key Attributes
  • Delivery-focused with strong problem-solving mindset
  • Innovative and open to new ways of working
  • Highly collaborative with strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Proactive, organised, and able to manage competing priorities
  • Desirable
  • Experience in water, wastewater, or infrastructure sectors
  • Exposure to standardised, modular, or product-based delivery approaches
  • Understanding of CDM regulations and project delivery responsibilities
  • Professional certification (e.g. APM, PRINCE2, PMP) or working towards
  • Experience driving cost optimisation, efficiencies, or value-led delivery
