LSEG's Markets Division is seeking a Technical Lead for the Batch Scheduling Team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of batch processing systems. You will supervise implementing, running, and scheduling batch jobs using Control-M software to ensure timely execution and minimal impact on critical business processes. This role requires an ability to encourage and guide the scheduling team, drive process improvements, and mentor your team to excellence., Monitor Control-M batches to identify and resolve issues, ensuring maximum uptime and system availability. Collaborate with application support teams to understand batch job requirements and optimize scheduling parameters for efficiency. Develop and maintain job scheduling standards, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency and alignment to standard processes. Collaborate with infrastructure teams to prioritise and optimize system performance for batch processing workloads. Provide support for incident and problem management, participating in root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures to minimize future issues. Stay on top of industry trends and advancements in batch scheduling technologies, recommending changes to improve system reliability and performance. Support CONTROL-M/Enterprise Manager (EM) and CONTROL-M Server maintenance. Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for batch schedules. Participates in disaster recovery and business continuity tests by performing documented recovery procedures and solving issues that may be encountered. Responsible for Calendar maintenance.
- 5+ Years experience with Risk and Application/Development Teams.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information technology, or related field.
- Demonstrable experience working as a Batch scheduler or similar role, preferably in a financial services environment.
- Strong expertise in scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python for automation tasks.
- Good communication skills, to collaborate effectively with multi-disciplines.
- Relevant certifications such as BMC Certified Control-M Engineer (BCCE) or Control-M Foundations Certification are a plus.
- BMC Control-M Admin skills would be a benefit.
- Experience in onboarding new jobs, input added information, crafting new dashboards.
- Experience in Control modules and account maintenance such DB, AFT, MFT, ETL and manage MQ queues.
- Knowledge on Linux, Unix and Windows environment is required.
- Sound knowledge on Workload policies, Reporting, Forecast, BIM and other Control-M components.
- Have good understanding on various types of calendars and its usage.
- Experience in solving issues using CCM.
- Knowledge on DevOps and related tools.
