As a key member of the Resources Directorate, you'll lead the development and modelling of complex data to support performance management and financial forecasting in the Revenues & Benefit arena. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to implement efficient processes, ensure compliance, and provide insightful reports that drive strategic decisions. You'll also play a pivotal role in service redesign, digital transformation, and performance improvement - while deputising for the Head of Revenues and Benefits when needed.,

• Lead on statutory government returns and in-year monitoring for Revenues and Benefits.
• Drive service redesign and digital content updates aligned with legislation and the Council's Digital Strategy.
• Deliver improvement programmes based on audits, feedback, and performance data.
• Monitor and forecast Council Tax Base and NNDR in collaboration with finance teams.
• Analyse and present data to inform service delivery and policy decisions.
• Ensure compliance with legislative changes and implement necessary updates.
• Represent the service in court proceedings to recover outstanding debt.
• Promote benefit take-up and financial assistance in line with Council objectives.
  
  We are looking for someone with IRRV accreditation and relevant experience in Revenues and Benefits, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
• Proven experience in data analysis, financial forecasting, and performance management.
• Strong understanding of Revenues and Benefits legislation and operations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead projects and drive service improvements.
• Experience in court representation and debt recovery is a plus.
