Full Job Description
In addition to technical maintenance duties, the role supports the on-site Facilities Management team in delivering an integrated service to the customer.
This is a highly client-facing position, requiring flexibility, strong communication skills and a willingness to undertake a wide variety of tasks as directed by the Facilities Manager or Regional Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all statutory regulations and health & safety requirements
Carry out routine PPM and minor reactive mechanical and electrical maintenance
Provide first-line response to equipment failures and building services faults
Assist with site-based installation and minor project works
Complete maintenance job sheets, service reports and site logbooks accurately
Adhere to Service Level Agreements and planned work schedules
Support supervision of subcontractors and maintain plant room housekeeping
Operate site access-to-work systems and report any H&S breaches
Ideally experienced in a commercial building services or facilities environment
Comfortable undertaking a wide range of tasks, from maintenance work to ad-hoc client requests
Strong client-facing skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people
Competent using PCs with a working knowledge of Windows, MS Word and Excel
Good written and verbal communication skills, including email use
Able to follow internal reporting procedures for timesheets, expenses and documentation
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
