Full Job Description

We're looking for a Technical Administrator to join our team at our Middlesbrough site, playing a key role in supporting the Technical team and ensuring the highest standards of food safety, quality, legality and customer compliance are maintained., The Technical Administrator will be responsible for supporting the Technical team to maintain the highest standards of food safety, quality and regulatory compliance. The Technical Administrator will provide effective administrative and system support, ensuring accurate documentation, records and data are maintained, while supporting audits, customer requirements and continuous improvement initiatives. Working collaboratively across the business to ensure technical processes and standards are met. Key Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • To maintain and enhance relationships with all personnel across all departments.
  • To assist in the coordination of complaint and out of specification results (microbiological and chemical).
  • Logging, investigation, reporting and responses within required time scales. Trending to drive both continuous improvement and
  • action.
  • To provide support to ensure generation of technical/ quality data (tabular and graphical) for submission to all customer, site
  • and group KPI's within required timescales
  • To ensure online reviews for all customers are logged and trended
  • Recipe, process specification, quality attribute sheet finalisation in collaboration with NPD Department prior to issue to
  • production colleagues.
  • Managing QMS system including document control database, review of procedures, completion of risk assessments etc.
  • Issuing updated / new documents to appropriate departments and ensuring old documents are no longer in use via monitoring.
  • Support and assist with unannounced BRCGS preparation & other customer specific audits
  • To complete internal audits and manage subsequent non-conformances following pre-determined schedule
  • To assist in the management and approval of service providers (laundry services etc.)
  • Scheduled traceability exercises and mass balance exercises, including CCP and process audits on raw materials / packaging
  • items on a scheduled basis or when otherwise required
  • Assist in completion of Food Safety documentation / passports for retail customers
  • Facilitation of daily taste panel and quality assessments in collaboration with other departments on site

    Previous experience with QMS system e.g. writing technical procedures / document control.
  • Previous food industry experience
  • Ability to work methodically and find appropriate solutions where challenges occur.
  • Be highly organised with good prioritisation skills
  • Ability to work to short deadlines
  • Qualifications:
  • Food Safety Level 3 - preferred
  • HACCP Level 3 - preferred
  • Internal audit training
