Full Job Description

Rugby School is one of the UK's leading independent boarding schools, set within a historic and vibrant campus. The School is home to 15 boarding houses accommodating both UK and international students, creating a diverse and welcoming community. In addition to supporting pupils during term time, the School hosts a wide range of events throughout the year, including weddings, festivals, conferences, foreign language student camps, summer schools, and many other commercial and community events.
The successful candidate will join an established, friendly, and hardworking team of cleaners who are committed to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation across the School estate. There are also opportunities for those who wish to become involved in supporting the many events that take place throughout the year.
We are seeking reliable and hardworking individuals to join our Cleaning Team. This is an active, hands-on role based across the School campus and boarding houses. The position involves regular walking between locations, the use of cleaning equipment and machinery, manual handling duties, lifting, bending, and working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptionally high standards throughout the School.
Our Cleaning Team plays a vital role in ensuring that pupils, staff, visitors, and guests enjoy a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at all times, while ensuring that all Health and Safety regulations are fully complied with.
Previous cleaning experience is essential. Applicants must be honest, reliable, flexible, punctual, and take pride in their work. They should be able to understand and follow verbal instructions, as well as written guidance relating to the safe use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and other hazardous cleaning products.
These are excellent opportunities to join a supportive team within a prestigious school environment and contribute to the success of a busy and varied operation throughout the year.
