The Ritzy is a 5 screen cinema with two bars in the heart of Brixton. The building is grade 2 listed and one of only a few purpose built cinemas of that time period still in existence in the country. Being in the heart of Brixton means putting the community first in all we do from independent films to a diverse events program in screen and at our iconic bar 'Upstairs at the Ritzy'. As a Cinema Host you will be responsible for keeping the heart of what we do beating with an infectious attitude and personal professionalism. Your role includes to welcome and serve visitors to the cinema in an individual and informed way, whilst always delivering the highest standard of customer service. You will support the cinema team to promote the benefits of membership and continuously drive sales, whilst ensuring a smooth running of the cinema in line with policies and procedures. What will you be doing? You will be fully trained to perform different duties at various times across the cinema. Your duties will include working in our bars, kiosk and auditoriums with particular attention paid to customer service in all areas.

• You must be available to work at key business times i.e. evenings and weekends. This includes late night working, until 1, 2 or 3am
• You must be friendly and outgoing with the attitude of always putting the customer first to deliver an unforgettable experience.
• You will be someone who enjoys a varied work life as no two days will be the same with you being required to work across lots of different areas of the cinema, such as promotion and sale of tickets, snacks, alcohol, food and Memberships.
• You enjoy working in a team environment with a wide variety of people to achieve common goals.

Desirable attributes and experience
• Previous hospitality experience
• An interest in and knowledge of film and Picturehouse†s programming strands
