Team Manager - Children In Care Team - Birmingham

Birmingham Children's Trust is currently looking for an experienced and dedicated Team Manager to join their Children In Care TeamLocation: One Avenue Road, Aston, BirminghamPay Rate: £41.42 per hour (Umbrella)Note: 2 days in the office, Monday and Thursday.Key Responsibilities:Lead, manage and support a team of Social Workers within the Children in Care Service.Provide effective professional supervision, reflective supervision, coaching and guidance to practitioners.Oversee the quality of care planning and pathway planning for children and young people.Ensure children's plans are focused on achieving permanence at the earliest appropriate opportunity.Monitor the progress, welfare and outcomes of children in care and ensure their needs remain central to decision-making.Ensure practitioners maintain meaningful and consistent relationships with children and young people using a trauma-informed, relationship-based approach.Provide management oversight of complex cases, safeguarding
concerns, placement issues and significant decisions.Support Social Workers to undertake appropriate risk assessment, analysis and professional decision-making.Ensure statutory visits, reviews, assessments, reports and other casework requirements are completed to the required standards and timescales.Work collaboratively with IROs, Independent Reviewing Officers, education, health, placement providers, legal services and other partner agencies.Support effective planning for children subject to care proceedings, ensuring actions are progressed appropriately.Identify barriers to permanence and support practitioners in developing timely and appropriate plans for children.Manage the day-to-day operation of a busy Children in Care team, allocating work and responding to emerging priorities.Monitor caseloads, workload and practitioner performance, taking appropriate action where required.Use management information and performance data to identify areas for improvement and drive service
delivery.Promote high standards of recording, case management, safeguarding practice and statutory compliance.Disseminate service priorities and ensure they are understood and implemented effectively within the team.Create an aspirational, supportive and accountable team culture focused on achieving positive outcomes for children.Work alongside internal and external partners to ensure coordinated services around children and families.Support continuous improvement, learning and development across the team.Contribute to service development and wider Children's Services priorities.Essential Requirements:Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalentAt least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's servicesSocial Work England RegistrationDriving license and access to own vehicleBenefits of working with Eden Brown Synergy include:DBS check processed and paid for by Eden Brown SynergyReferral bonus if you refer a colleague or friend to usBonus for finding your own jobTwice
