Full Job Description

Lead a specialist care team supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism, complex care needs, PBS and mental health needs in Milton Keynes and Bedford., As a Team Leader / Deputy Manager, you will combine direct care with shift leadership across high-support 3:1, 4:1 and 5:1 packages. You will lead the team during significant incidents, run handovers and shift briefings, support staff supervision, and make sure care plans, PBS plans, risk assessments and DoLS requirements are followed safely and consistently. The role needs sound judgement, calm leadership under pressure, and a commitment to dignity, human rights and least restrictive practice.

Substantial experience in complex care, learning disability, autism, ABI, mental health or high-risk behavioural services

Experience working within, and ideally leading, 3:1-5:1 packages

Experience leading or supervising staff during significant behavioural incidents

Advanced de-escalation skills and experience of physical intervention in a care setting

Experience implementing PBS plans and complex risk assessments

Knowledge of safeguarding, DoLS and least restrictive practice

DMI (Dynamis) training strongly preferred; PMVA or equivalent may be considered

Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)

A DBS check, or willingness to obtain one

Unrestricted right to work in the UK

This permanent, full-time PAYE position offers 36-48 hours per week at £16.00 per hour, with an annual salary of £29,952-£39,936.
