Team Leader

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership position while remaining connected to frontline practice. You will play a key role in supporting children, young people, and families, while helping to shape and develop mental health services across Somerset. As a Team Leader, you will provide guidance, support and oversight to a team of practitioners, contribute to service development, and ensure high-quality support is consistently delivered. You will also maintain a small caseload, enabling you to stay connected to direct practice and the needs of children and young people.,

• Provide leadership, supervision and support to a team of Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) and Children's Wellbeing Practitioners (CWPs)
• Contribute to the ongoing development, delivery and evaluation of the Mental Health Support Team service
• Hold a small caseload, including school engagement, direct work with children, young people and families, and consultation with school staff
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with schools, education settings and community organisations
• Support quality assurance, service improvement and innovation across the team
• Promote positive mental health and wellbeing across educational settings and local communities
  
  Do you have experience in mental health-such as delivering low-intensity interventions-or in education, and are you ready to take the next step into leadership? We would particularly welcome applications from candidates with experience across both fields.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Team Leader to help lead and support our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) across Somerset.,
• Has experience working within mental health, education, or ideally both sectors
• Has leadership experience or can demonstrate the skills and potential to progress into a leadership role
• Is passionate about improving mental health outcomes for children and young people
• Has excellent communication, organisational and relationship-building skills
• Thrives in a collaborative environment and can support and motivate others
• Is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based support
