Full Job Description
We're looking for a Team leader to join our Adult Social Care day services, supporting adults with a learning disability. This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who enjoys working closely with people and supporting a small, dedicated team. Our day service supports adults with a learning disability to develop skills, build confidence, and take part in meaningful activities within their community. We focus on being Person-centred, and supportive, making sure people feel safe, valued, and listened to. You'll manage a small team of staff and work closely with the Team Manager to keep the service running smoothly. The role requires flexibility, as you may be asked to cover sites across North Northamptonshire CouncilWhat will you be doing?
- Leading the day-to-day running of the service
- Supporting and supervising staff, including inductions and ongoing development
- Helping plan timetables and rotas to meet service needs
- Overseeing care plans, reviews, audits, and record keeping
- Making sure health & safety ismaintainedacross the building, staff, and people using the service
- Supporting quality checks, audits, and service improvements

- NVQ Level 4 in Social Care (or equivalent) and a management qualification
- Experience supporting adults with a learning disability
- Experience supervising staff
- A good understanding of current legislation
- Strong organisation, communication, and IT skills
- A positive, flexible approach and commitment to person-centred support
