There is an expectation that you will provide senior Band 7 duty cover on a Saturday, Sunday and bank holiday to the wider unplanned adult and older adult inpatient services as part of rotational cover shared amongst the other Band 7's in the division. This currently works out at around 1 in every 15 weekends with opportunity for additional, if desired, on both weekends or evenings. This is supported by the weekend MDT, covering all inpatients for emergency MDT discussions, and is led by the Band 7 on duty and an inpatient on call consultant.
