Team Inclusion Advisor

The core purpose of the 3R Team Advisor role is to reduce permanent exclusions by proactively supporting mainstream schools in managing and meeting the needs of vulnerable and high-risk pupils. A key focus is on building sustainable capacity within mainstream settings by transferring specialist knowledge and expertise in SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) and behaviour management strategies from the WSAPC College into the wider school system. Working closely with schools, educational partnerships, and external agencies, the 3R Team Advisor helps foster a culture of inclusion, promoting early intervention, and ensuring that all students have access to the support they need to thrive in mainstream settings., Leadership and Quality Assurance

• Lead and support the development of personalised delivery plans for pupils requiring targeted intervention-working collaboratively with schools, families, and professionals to design support that reduces the risk of exclusion.
• Coordinate and oversee the implementation of 1:1 and small group interventions, ensuring they are responsive to pupils' SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Line manage, supervise, and appraise 3R Mentors to maintain a high-performing, skilled workforce that can deliver these targeted strategies effectively.
• Contribute to quality assurance processes including behaviour walks, behaviour audits, and work scrutiny.
• Support the implementation of effective whole-school behaviour systems aligned with inclusive principles, including the development and management of Behaviour Management plans / personalised reintegration plans for pupils returning from alternative provision or at risk of exclusion.
What You Need to Succeed Professional Partnerships
• Foster strong multi-agency collaboration to support vulnerable pupils and their families.
• Develop effective working relationships with school leaders, Pastoral and SEND Leads, and other key stakeholders across localities and partnerships.
• Collaborate with schools to co-create sustainable strategies that improve pupil engagement and reduce escalations to exclusion.
• Contribute to CPD and coaching programmes that build staff confidence and competence in inclusive practices.
Teaching and Learning Support
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding, and inclusive education policies.
• Uphold the highest standards of child protection, health and safety, confidentiality, and data security.
• Promote equality of opportunity and ensure all pupils can access learning and go on to live happy lives.
• Engage constructively with pupils, staff, and external professionals to support educational outcomes across a range of Settings.
• Attend and contribute to relevant school meetings and cross-agency planning forums.
  
  West Sussex Alternative Provision College (WSAPC) is an educational establishment based across the county on seven separate sites, providing education for pupils whom are permanently excluded, at risk of exclusion or too ill to attend school. Our ethos is to provide FOCUS (Future, Opportunities:, Curriculum, Us, School) for our pupils to re-engage them in their learning and support re-integration to mainstream provision.
