Full Job Description

We are looking for a motivated, organised and enthusiastic Team-Based Administrator to join our friendly and supportive Children's Dietetics Service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting dietitians and ensuring children, young people and their families receive high-quality care. The role is based at Sir Robert Peel Hospital Tamworth and is for 30 hours per week covering weekdays (excluding bank holidays).

As the first point of contact you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the team of clinicians with the Children's Dietetics Service. Working with colleagues and independently within the team you will ensure efficient administrative processes, maintain accurate records, coordinate appointments and meetings, and provide excellent customer service to children, young people, families, and partner agencies.

Your contribution will be invaluable in supporting the delivery of a responsive and effective service.

Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Is well organised and able to manage competing priorities.

Has experience of working in an administrative role.

Possesses good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

Has strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Works well as part of a team while also being able to use their own initiative.

Demonstrates a caring, compassionate and professional approach when dealing with children, families and colleagues.

The role requires excellent organisational, communication and IT skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain confidentiality, and work flexibly to support service delivery. The post holder will contribute to the smooth running of the service by supporting clinical pathways, workforce administration, data quality, and continuous service improvement while adhering to Trust policies, procedures and safeguarding requirements.

Come and work with us at our award-winning NHS Trust, leading the way for trying new and better ways of working to help improve life for our local communities.

We have around 9,000 staff who provide physical and mental healthcare, support for people with learning disabilities, and adult social care across Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, Shropshire, and Telford & Wrekin. We also run regional and national services, including help for new parents (perinatal care), eating disorders, forensic services, sexual health, and support for people in prison with mental health, drug, or alcohol problems.

We offer great career development for both clinical and non-clinical roles, with ongoing training and support to help you learn and grow.

We are 'United in our Uniqueness' and committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels welcome and can be themselves, no matter their background or identity. We want our staff to feel supported and valued, and we aim to build a team that reflects the communities we serve. Together, we can make sure every voice is heard, and every difference is respected.
