Full Job Description

We're seeking a proactive Band 3 Administrator to support our Community Mental Health Teams in Macclesfield. This full-time role is vital to smooth service delivery, supporting both staff and service users. You'll provide flexible cover across teams, handling reception, telephony, audio typing, ordering supplies, and general admin tasks. You'll deliver high-quality administrative and secretarial support, manage calls and enquiries with empathy and professionalism, maintain accurate records, and adapt to changing priorities. We're looking for someone organised, efficient, and able to manage competing demands, with excellent communication skills and a friendly, professional manner. You should thrive under pressure, work well in a team, and be confident working across different settings. The Trust currently supports the Real Living Wage (RLW) hourly rate as set by the Living Wage Federation and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this,

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support across teams, updating clinical records, drafting correspondence through audio typing, covering reception and managing incoming calls.
  • Deliver reception and telephony services, responding to service users, carers, and professional enquiries with empathy, professionalism, and discretion.
  • Liaise effectively with clinical staff, external agencies, and service users via phone, email, and face-to-face contact to support smooth service delivery.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times and ensure compliance with information governance, data protection, and safeguarding requirements.
  • Assist colleagues by providing ad hoc administrative support, training, and cross-cover to promote a resilient and collaborative team environment.
