Location: Totton, Hampshire
Start Date: ASAP

Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 per annum (Paid to Scale)

About the Role
Teaching Personnel are seeking dedicated and resilient Maths and English Teachers to join a specialist SEN/SEMH secondary school in the Totton area. This full-time role is available for an immediate start and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who require additional support.

The school supports secondary-aged students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. It provides a structured, supportive, and nurturing environment where students are encouraged to achieve both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths or English lessons tailored to individual student needs
- Adapt teaching strategies to support students with SEN/SEMH
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies in line with school policies
- Track and assess student progress, providing clear feedback
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (essential)
- Experience working with SEN and/or SEMH students (desirable)
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
