Full Job Description
The post holder will work collaboratively with senior leaders to drive the continuous development and delivery of inspirational and innovative professional learning across the college. They will lead on the continuous improvement of Teaching, Learning and Assessment practices within their assigned curriculum teams, ensuring that expert teaching is consistently modelled, supported and celebrated. They will empower and support teachers to be the best creative professionals they can be, fostering a culture where staff feel confident to experiment, reflect and refine their practice. A key aspect of the role is to encourage teachers to take full ownership of their own professional learning, promoting autonomy, curiosity and evidence-informed development. The post holder will also provide instructional coaching to a caseload of new teachers, offering tailored guidance, structured feedback and developmental support to help them establish strong, confident and effective classroom practice.
Suitable candidates should have a degree or equivalent professional qualification, and a PGCE/Certificate in Education or equivalent. Candidates should have strong teaching, learning and assessment experience in Further Education, thorough knowledge of Ofsted's Education Inspection Framework, and thorough knowledge of leading developments, strategies, resources and theories to improve teaching, learning and assessment practices. This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check and a Prohibition check.
The post holder will also be required to teach in a curriculum area for a proportion of the week; all subject area specialisms will be considered. We offer an excellent salary and benefits package, which includes:
