Full Job Description
We are looking for junior doctors with an interest in teaching to join our medical education team for at least 2 Teaching Fellow posts:
- Post 1: with an interest in Critical Illness
- Post 2: with an interest in Surgery
- Possiblity of a post within Medicine (Post 3 tbc) When applying, please indicate in your supporting statement, which posts you wish to be considered for. If this is multiple, please state all of those that you would consider. The working week consists of 3 days per week teaching, 1 day per week based in the clinical area of your choice and 1 day per week for private directed study. The teaching fellow will also be expected to take part in the preparation of assessments and participate as an examiner, amongst other projects.
The posts will involve providing generic clinical skills teaching, but also have an interest in the specialities indicated above. As the teaching fellow you will be expected to be involved in the teaching of medical students based at King's Mill Hospital for their clinical placements. The post holders will provide clinical demonstrations, small group tutorials and practical sessions together with supervised direct patient contact on the wards., Sherwood is nationally recognised as being an excellent place to work and deliver care.
