Full Job Description

At Trent Acres School, we know that the right support can transform a child's future. Every day, our Teaching Assistants help students with Autism and additional needs develop confidence, communication skills and independence, celebrating achievements big and small along the way. We're looking for compassionate, enthusiastic and resilient Teaching Assistants to join our dedicated team. Whether you're already working in education or looking to start a rewarding career supporting young people, this is an opportunity to be part of a school where you'll be valued, supported and encouraged to grow. No two days are the same. One moment you could be helping a student achieve a breakthrough in the classroom, the next you're supporting outdoor learning, developing life skills or celebrating a milestone that once felt out of reach. Every day brings the chance to make a lasting impact. You'll work alongside experienced teachers, therapists and support staff in a collaborative environment where your ideas matter and your professional development is encouraged through ongoing training and career progression opportunities. What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to help them achieve their individual learning goals.
  • Assisting teachers to deliver engaging, creative and personalised learning experiences.
  • Encouraging students to build confidence, resilience, independence and positive relationships.
  • Creating a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment where every student can succeed.
  • Supporting students' emotional wellbeing, communication and social development throughout the school day.
  • Working closely with colleagues, families and other professionals to ensure every student receives consistent, high-quality support.

Has a genuine passion for helping children and young people achieve their full potential.
  • Is patient, caring and resilient, with a calm and positive approach.
  • Can build trusting relationships with students and adapt to their individual needs.
  • Enjoys working as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
  • Is proactive, flexible and ready to embrace every day as a new opportunity to make a difference.

At OFG Education, we believe every student deserves an education designed around who they are. Through high expectations, deep expertise and truly personalised education, we help students realise their potential and prepare for successful futures.

Across the UK, Iberia and the Gulf, our schools combine the strength, expertise and high standards of an international education group with the individuality of each school and the communities they serve. Whatever your role, joining OFG Education means contributing to our shared ambition: empowering every student to success through truly personalised education.
