Full Job Description
Our Teaching Assistants play an important part in helping every child to thrive. Successful candidates will work alongside teachers and other professionals to support pupils' learning, development, wellbeing and inclusion. The roles will include:
- Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom.
- Working with individual pupils and small groups.
- Delivering targeted interventions under the direction of the class teacher and SENDCO.
- Supporting children with a range of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
- Supporting pupils with needs including ADHD, autism (ASD), social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).
- Supporting pupils to develop communication, emotional regulation, resilience and independence.
- Helping pupils to access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
- Supporting positive behaviour for learning through consistent, nurturing approaches.
- Contributing to a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, the SENDCO, pastoral staff and other members of the school team.
- Supporting children's personal care where this is required as part of an individual child's needs. We are looking for people who: Are passionate about helping children learn and succeed. - Supportive of the Catholic ethos and mission of our school. Experience of working within EYFS, KS1 or KS2 would be advantageous. Applicants should hold an appropriate Level 2 qualification or equivalent relevant to the role.
