Full Job Description
- Supporting pupils with classroom learning and routines
- Assisting with learning activities planned by class teachers
- Building trusting relationships to help pupils feel secure
- Promoting communication, independence and engagement
- Supporting personal care, feeding and individual medical needs (full training provided)
- Contributing to active, inclusive break-time experiences as part of the duty team The working hours for the role are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8.50am - 3.40pm & Wednesday 8.50am - 4.40pm. On occasional Wednesdays there are extended CPD sessions until 5.45pm. About Our Pupils: Our pupils have a broad range of strengths and needs, including Autism, ADHD, Down's Syndrome, communication needs, social and emotional challenges, mental health needs and personal care requirements., This post is subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure and Safer Recruitment checks. Online checks will be undertaken for shortlisted candidates. Hazel Oak strives to be a fully inclusive school, supporting a diverse workforce with equity as a key priority.
