Full Job Description
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic person to operate as a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide both academic and emotional support for identified students. This role will exist to support students with their learning experience throughout the school day across curriculum areas and during social times This will involve Forming a positive and trusting relationship with students, being a trusted Key worker for students and work alongside staff to plan and support work in the classroom.
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant you will work under the direction of our SEN Coordinators who are responsible for the support and operational provision for Special Educational Needs throughout the school, linking extensively with all departments, external agencies, parents and pupils.
The School has recently had extensive building work completed and you will be based in brand new state of the art facilities as part of the SEN Team, as well as working in spacious new classrooms across the school throughout the day.
Working hours are 32.5 hours per week, typically 8.30am - 3.40pm, Monday - Friday term time plus 5 staff learning days; 39 weeks per annum.
Starting salary for a full-time post at Band F (Points 7-12) is within the range £26,403 to £28,598 starting point depending on experience and qualifications.
The actual salary based on the hours and weeks worked will be within the range £20,092 to £21,762 subject to any continuous service.
