Full Job Description
We are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to work within our Alternative Provision (AP) room, supporting a small group of children with complex needs. This is an exciting opportunity for the right person to join a committed and supportive team who are passionate about providing the very best outcomes for our children. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, develop independence, and regulate their emotions within a nurturing and structured environment. We are looking for someone who is patient, adaptable and proactive, with a strong understanding of how to support children with complex needs. Experience of working with children with additional and/or complex needs is essential. In return, you will be part of a collaborative and caring team, where staff wellbeing and professional development are valued, and where every day brings the opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of our pupils.
- Holds a good educational background with GCSE or equivalent in English Language.
- Understands how children learn.
- Is skilled at developing children's self-esteem and motivation so that they become resilient, independent learners.
- Has excellent communication skills and is able to develop and sustain positive relationships with pupils.
