Full Job Description

The Governors of Marlborough St Mary's are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and flexible Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team. This is a varied and rewarding role, working across our Complex Needs Resource Base and mainstream classes, supporting children in Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. We are looking for someone who enjoys variety, embraces new challenges and is passionate about helping children learn, develop and thrive. Our motto, "Together we believe, learn and achieve," reflects our commitment to inclusion, kindness and wellbeing. We are a modern primary school in the heart of Marlborough, with excellent facilities, including a dance studio, multi-use sports area and forest school. Following our inspection in January 2025, Ofsted recognised exceptional provision across the school, praising our welcoming and inclusive environment, exemplary pupil behaviour, exceptional personal development and high-quality support for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities. All about the role: We are looking for someone who is

  • Enthusiastic, positive and creative, with a good sense of humour.
  • Patient, nurturing and adaptable, with high expectations for every child.
  • A strong team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident in using their initiative to meet individual needs.
  • Committed to inclusion, kindness and children's wellbeing.
  • Organised and keen to contribute to school life.

    In return, we offer:
  • A happy, caring and inclusive school community.
  • A varied role where you can make a real difference.
  • A supportive team and opportunities for professional development.
  • A modern school with excellent facilities and a commitment to helping every child flourish.
  • A big Labrador!
