Teaching Assistant - Pauntley Primary School (Part of GPP Federation)

We are looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. The post is to support the learning of children in our KS2 Class. Initially, this is a fixed term contract until 31st August 2026. The post will also include some lunchtime supervision.

• Have knowledge and experience of working with children, preferably in a school setting
• Demonstrate a good knowledge and understanding of maths and English skills
• Be able to build positive working relationships with children, their parents and colleagues
• Be able to adapt and respond to the needs of the children
• Show good organisational skills
• Use their initiative in order to meet the needs of the children
• Have the skills and understanding of how to support children individually and in groups
• Have a good sense of humour and be willing to immerse themselves fully into the life of our village school
• Be able to inspire and motivate the children

  The working hours are 31 hours a week, term time only. These will be Monday - Friday 8.20 - 3.00. This will include a 30-minute unpaid lunchbreak and 30 minutes lunchtime supervision (payable at a different rate).
Pauntley is part of the GPP Federation, which includes Glebe Infants and Picklenash Junior Schools. For the academic year 2025 - 26 you will be based at Pauntley, however, federation wide opportunities may be available in the future.
