Teaching Assistant for KS1 and / or KS2

About the role: To provide support to teachers in the management of pupils' learning. 1 a) DUTIES

• Assist in the educational and social development of pupils under the direction and guidance of the head teacher, SENCO and class teachers
• Attend to pupils' personal needs, including social, health, hygiene, first-aid and welfare matters
• Prepare classrooms and clear afterwards and assist with the display of pupils' work
• Provide clerical/admin support, e.g. photocopying, typing, filing, collecting money, record keeping
• Assist with the planning and delivery of learning activities
• Accompany teachers and pupils on out-of-school activities and take responsibility for a group, under the direction of a teacher
• Undertake playground duties

1 d) ADDITIONAL INFORMATION The jobholder is required to contribute to and support the overall aims and ethos of the school. All staff are required to participate in training and other learning activities, and in performance management and development, as required by the school's policies and practice. Set a good example in terms of dress, punctuality and attendance. The duties described above may vary from time to time without changing their general character or the levels of responsibility entailed and are intended to provide a broad indication of what is included in the job. The successful applicant will be responsible for: Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for pupils. Recognising and reporting safeguarding concerns promptly. Following the school's procedures for recording and escalating concerns. Completing required safeguarding training and maintaining professional boundaries. Working with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and relevant agencies when required.

The school is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistant for KS1 and KS2. The role will be a minimum of 27 hours a week and will include lunch duties. The role is varied and will involve working with children on a one to one basis and within small groups.,
