Supply Hive Wales is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in the CF3 area of Cardiff for a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil in Year 4 with behavioural needs. This is a full-time role starting in September, offering the opportunity to make a real difference by helping a child engage positively with learning while supporting their social and emotional development. The Role

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with behavioural challenges.
  • Build a positive, trusting relationship to encourage engagement and confidence.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in line with the school's policies.
  • Support the pupil both in the classroom and during other parts of the school day.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and ALNCo to ensure consistent support.

  • Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a school, care, youth work or similar setting.
  • Confident managing challenging behaviour with patience and consistency.
