Introduction

Placement in Secondary School working with & supporting students aged 13-16 who require additional classroom support, linking in with families and the wider community.

About the Employer

Leek High is a Secondary School teaching students aged 13-16, we are based on the edge of peak district and have a small co-hort of students from the local community and surrounding villages.

What You'll Do

• Classroom Support - Implementing & developing Plans/adaptations to support student to achieve their potential in lessons
• Provide feedback to teachers on pupils' achievements, progress & development
• Organising and leading extra curricula activities such as Lunch clubs, revision sessions.
• Accompany staff & pupils on visits, trips.
• Encourage pupils to engage in the full spectrum of school life.
• Provide general support to pupils, Promote & safeguard the welfare of young people you come into contact with.
• Comply with H&S & trust policies and proceedures (training will be provided)

Working Arrangements

Working Week: 37 hours per week during term time, plus inset days. 8.30am - 4.30pm, you will be released for study time and college days.
