Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a committed Teaching Assistant Level 3 to join our excellent Individual Educational Needs (IEN) team, working closely with our SENCo and Associate SENCos to support students with a range of additional needs. You will proactively assist teaching staff to support the learning and progress of all students, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), with a particular focus on students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The role will involve supporting students in lessons, delivering targeted interventions, providing support within our personalised provision areas, and helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed both academically and personally. You will work closely with teachers, parents/carers and other professionals to ensure students receive the support they need, while promoting positive relationships, emotional wellbeing and engagement with learning. You will also contribute to the planning, delivery and evaluation of interventions for individuals and small groups of students. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, flexible and resilient, with excellent interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for helping young people overcome barriers to learning. • have experience of working to support learning in young people, with a particular focus on those with Social, Emotional and Mental health needs (SEMH)
• are educated to a minimum of GCSE level
• have a recognised qualification or knowledge/training of at least one area of the curriculum or SEND
• Able to work with a high level of confidentiality, demonstrating strong communication skills whilst remaining composed and efficient
