Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: Napier School, Farnborough, GU14 6EF Hours: 37.5 per week | Monday-Friday | 8:30am - 4:30pm Salary: £22,160.62 per annum (not pro rata) Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only Start: October 2026 UK applicants only - no sponsorship available About the Role At Napier School, our Teaching Assistants do far more than support learning. - Support pupils individually and in small groups with their learning, communication, social development, and emotional wellbeing
- Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging lessons and meaningful learning experiences
- Encourage positive behaviour and help create a calm, supportive classroom environment
- Prepare learning resources and support educational visits, enrichment activities, and school events
- Monitor progress and celebrate achievements, helping pupils recognise and build on their successes
- Provide support during breaktimes, lunchtimes, and other activities throughout the school day Who We're Looking For We're looking for caring, patient, and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential. Whether you're bringing previous experience from education, childcare, or a similar support setting, you'll share our commitment to making a lasting positive impact. You'll ideally have:
- Experience working with pupils in education, childcare, SEN, or a related environment
- A full UK driving licence to support pupils during off-site activities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to stay calm, positive, and resilient in challenging situations
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting pupils' individual needs
