Teaching Assistant

As a Supply Teaching Assistant in Long Eaton, you will work alongside class teachers to support pupils with their learning, development and engagement throughout the school day. Every school and assignment is different, but your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting teachers with lessons and classroom activities
• Providing one-to-one and small-group support
• Helping pupils with reading, writing, maths and other areas of the curriculum
• Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and classroom engagement
• Helping children to develop their independence and social skills
• Creating a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment
• Supporting pupils during transitions, break times or lunchtimes where required
Supply work offers plenty of variety, so being adaptable, confident and comfortable working in different school environments is important.Flexible Working Hours We have a range of Teaching Assistant jobs in Alfreton and surrounding schools, including:
• Full Day: 8:30am - 3:30pm
• Morning: 8:30am - 12:30pm
• Afternoon: 12:00pm - 3:30pm
Opportunities are available on a full-time, part-time, ad-hoc and day-to-day basis, giving you greater flexibility around your existing commitments.
