At Bluebank School, we're looking for a compassionate, patient and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide personalised support to a pupil with additional needs. This is a unique opportunity to build a meaningful relationship, helping one young person develop the confidence, independence and skills they need to thrive both in school and beyond. You'll work alongside an experienced and supportive team, creating a safe, nurturing environment where every achievement-big or small-is celebrated. What you will be doing

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support, enabling a pupil with SEND and complex needs to access learning and achieve their individual goals.
  • Adapt learning activities, resources and routines to meet the pupil's educational, emotional and social needs.
  • Build a positive, trusting relationship that promotes confidence, resilience and emotional wellbeing.
  • Encourage communication, independence, social skills and positive engagement throughout the school day.
  • Support learning both in the classroom and during outdoor learning, enrichment activities and educational visits.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, families and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide consistent, personalised support.
  • Monitor progress, celebrate achievements and contribute to individual support plans and reviews.
  • Promote positive behaviour and ensure the pupil's safety, wellbeing and safeguarding remain at the heart of everything you do.
