Teaching Assistant

E-ACT Merchants Secondary School is seeking to appoint a motivated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and ambitious team. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support learning in and outside the classroom, providing targeted academic, behavioural and pastoral support to individual students and small groups. You will help remove barriers to learning, promote positive behaviour, and contribute to a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.,

• Support students' learning in the classroom under the direction of teaching staff
• Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups
• Assist with behaviour management and promote positive engagement
• Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
• Support students' academic, social and emotional development
  
  GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
• Relevant TA, childcare or education qualification (desirable)
• Ability to build positive, professional relationships with students
• Confidence supporting learning in and out of the classroom
• Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and student wellbeing

Pay range: NJC5 - 7 - £19,764.35 - £20,397.85 - FTE: £25,583.00 - £26,403.00 - 32.5 hours per week - 39 weeks per year, Financial and Lifestyle We offer a strong financial package including access to defined benefit pension schemes (LGPS or TPS), life cover at three times pensionable pay, and 31 days of annual leave for year-round employees.
