Full Job Description

As a Teaching Assistant, the successful candidate will work closely with students who require additional support, both in the classroom and within our Success Centre. You will play a vital role in helping students achieve their potential by:

  • Supporting teaching and learning for individuals or small groups
  • Assisting with classroom delivery and interventions
  • Monitoring student progress and behaviour
  • Supporting reintegration and behaviour plans
  • Building strong, trusting relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Your work will be guided by the SENCO and Success Centre Leaders and will be delivered across a variety of settings, including mainstream classes, withdrawal sessions, and learning hubs.

  • A minimum of GCSE Grade A to C or Grade 4 or above passes in maths and English.
  • Must be qualified to Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience of classroom support to students is desirable.
