Teaching Assistant - Gatton Primary School

About Us

Hours: 31 Hours per week (39 Weeks) - Term Time Only (TTO)
Time: 8.15am to 3.30pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break) 4pm-5pm staff meeting once a week
Start Date: 1st September 2026

A great opportunity to join the staff of our lovely school! We are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated, and creative Teaching Assistant to work within our school. At Gatton Primary School we are passionate about developing our children's love of learning, helping them to reach their full potential and creating a happy and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience as a teaching assistant
  • Relevant qualifications and training
  • Fantastic resource making skills
  • Excellent ICT and graphics design skills
  • Excellent organisation and time-management
  • A commitment to upholding the ethos and vision of our school
  • Understanding of the safeguarding and welfare of children

We are looking for someone who:

  • Takes responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children
  • Has experience of working with children with SEND
  • Is a hardworking and dedicated practitioner; able to motivate and inspire children
  • Is enthusiastic, resourceful and committed to ensuring the highest possible standards of achievement and personal development
  • Has a commitment to their own personal and professional development
  • Can work co-operatively as part of a team.
  • Support the Islamic ethos of Gatton school through their personal conduct and professionalism.
