Full Job Description
30 hours per week, Term Time Only (39 weeks), 1 INSET Day Monday to Friday: 8.15am - 3.00pm 8.15am - 4.15pm x1 day (1 hour training from 3.15pm) 8.15am - 3.40pm x1 day (40min intervention from 3.00pm) Includes unpaid breaks in line with school - 1hour 5min (break and lunch) Scale 3 point 6 - £20,760pa (actual) (FTE: £29,856pa) Thank you for considering a career at Mayfield School. We are currently looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive Teaching Assistant to join our team. This is a rewarding role supporting students in their learning and development, both in and out of the classroom. Key Responsibilities:
- Support teaching staff in delivering high-quality learning across a range of subjects
- Work with individual students and small groups to reinforce learning and promote progress
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources
- Promote positive behaviour and provide emotional and social support to students
- Contribute to the wider life of the school and support activities such as trips, events, and enrichment opportunities We are looking for someone who:
- A genuine passion for working with children and helping them reach their full potential
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- A flexible, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to learn
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach
- Previous experience working with children (in a school or other setting) is desirable but not essential
